This is a quick sketch that I came up with for a promotional poster for Facade.

The concept behind this design is to incorporate our main idea of identity with a selfie. I want to divide the image and have half of the face in a mosaic style comprised of a collection of selfies that would be found online. This is to give the idea that the person identity is made up of the "facade," the representation of themselves that they create online. Ideally these selfies would progress chronologically as with the photos near the top being from earlier in the persons life gradually leading down to photos from the present. This is to incorporate the theme of time as well as the concept of the self documentation over time becoming a narrative. I want the figure to be a black and white selfie with possibly a slight color gradient (from orange near the older photos to blue) and a strong light source coming from the left to cast more of the right side in shadow. The clothes would probably have low luminance so I would put a gradient fade to white near the bottom where the information about the exhibition would be displayed to ensure that the blue text would be easy to read. The title will be orange to stand out from the rest of the text. I would also possibly add a tag line for the exhibition to the upper left hand corner. The color scheme is designed to tie in with the colors on our website the the QR code placed at the bottom of the poster will take you to.
